Academic Talent Search is one of the TRIO programs located at John Wood Community College. Each month, an advisor meets with students at Brown County Middle and High School to work on skills for academic success. We help students identify and maintain healthy academic habits beginning in elementary school through high school. We cover topics such as: study skills, time management, goal setting, tutoring, college and career exploration, and more!
Our students will also receive the opportunity for many educational and enrichment events. Some of our past and future events include: STL Aquarium, Raging Rivers Waterpark, Fun City, The Budding Artist, Horseback Riding, campus visits and so much more! All of these events are completely FREE to our students! We also offer reimbursements for any campus visits they may take on their own (up to $100.00).
